Why I’m Running

I’m Diamant Hysenaj and I’m running to represent you—the heartbeat of the Bronx and Queens. I’m an immigrant, a citizen, an entrepreneur, a father of two, a husband, and a New Yorker who’s faced our struggles and risen through grit.

I’m not here for politics—I’m here to fight. I made it as an immigrant, rebuilt after losing it all in 2008, and took on corruption when it hit my family. With my wife and two kids, I feel the same pressures you do—healthcare costs, safety, a future worth believing in. I’ve built homes, restaurants, buildings, businesses, and a life here—I know this city inside out. NY-14 deserves a voice who gets it—a leader who’s been there and can deliver. Let’s fix what’s broken and build a future we’re proud of—together.

Are you tired of watching NY-14’s streets crumble while politicians show up only for votes and money? From broken roads to unsafe corners, our district deserves better. Families are squeezed by soaring rents, ignored by those in power. I’m running to deliver strong leadership that fights for us—safer neighborhoods, affordable housing, thriving small businesses, and fair immigration pathways. My common-sense policies will uplift working families and rebuild our community. Join me to make NY-14 a place where we all thrive.
